Workshop 1







On Friday, January 23, 2009, the first of the three workshops was held at the Millennium Bussiness Centre in Baia Mare, Romania, as part of the Grundtvig project „THE ROLE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN WOMEN’S LIFE”, project financed by the European Commission.
The event was organised by InfoProject together with the Millennium Bussiness Centre, the Maramures County Employment Agency and the Psychopedagogical Assistance Centre.
The event unfolded as follows:
-presentation of the project organisers and the participants in the target group;
-oral and Powerpoint presentation of the project (aims, stages, the project’s website, the project’s workteam, making the participants familiar with the key competencies repertoire necessary for their integration on the labour market, strategies for making the most of their reemploymeny potentials, personal and professional continuous training);
-diagnose of the target group as far as their personal profile of the existent/non-existent key competences;
-socializing between the project’s team and the participants on a pizza break;
-practical activity designed to make the participants familiar with labour market prospecting strategies –activity conducted by Mrs. Erika Velker, owner of a brand for health potential evaluation
-entrepreneurship – theory and applications - implications and consequences of being unemployed (Laura Szebeni, teacher of social sciences at the „Mihai Eminescu” National College)
-application of the Baron - Tieger self – assessment personality test to the participants;
-discussion over the test results;
-teamwork activity: elaboration of a bussinees plan starting from Laura Szebeni’s presentation on entrepreneurship);
-plenary presentation of each team’s products;
-discussions and conclusions: pros and cons to implementation opportunities.
Event organisers: Mrs. Mariana Hudrea, head of the project; Mrs. Simona Zachia, financial expert; Laura Szebeni, teacher of social – sciences; Cristina Ambrus and Florentina Baciu, school psychologists at the Psychopedagogical Assistance Centre in Baia Mare; Zita Rist, english teacher at the „Mihai Eminescu” National College in Baia Mare and Mrs. Viorica Parja, senior jurnalist and chief editor of „Graiul Maramuresului”.
The workshop was attended by 25 unemployed women.
Conclusions:
- a very good time management;
- management of unpredicted situations due to a very good team collaboration;
- participant’s particular desire to attend similar/further workshops in view of their personal and professional development;
-good quality of workshop products;
- positive feedback of the participants;
- enlarging views over target group profile and needs (unemployed women, aged 45 – 55);
- attention to be paid for announcing the programme before the meeting.
